Color Tear + Daedalus by The Pleiades
Dear Lights!
we are insanely happy to announce that our dear friends The Pleiades decided to release two demos for free on Leaking Lights! The final versions of these will be on their forthcoming album, No Stranger. Read about it and their projects on their facebook here.
"Color Tear" is a hip hop-inspired, bubbly dance jam speckled with AutoTune and Nintendo samples, and "Daedalus" is an unravelled, mythical cool-down of layered harmonies and echoed organ. We hope you like them both!

dear god i hate myself
We both enjoyed that video very much. we are conscient that it can be misunderstood, and we're not to write here all the reasons for which we love it. we would like to re-post something Jamie Stewart, member of the band Xiu Xiu, posted on his blog.

Dear Mr Stewart, I am writing to you from my lavatories.
As I sit here releasing my bowels, I would like you to know my opinion of your video "Dear God I hate Myself".
I find that you should be the one up-chucking your indie-chic whole grain soy based sandwhich due to the fact you have an oddly shaped head. I feel that if you were to take it upon yourself to binge & purge perhaps it would return to a normal size. I find the asian girl to be very cute and seeing her preform such an act of self hate for you makes me question if perhaps you have drugged her. If this is the case then you are even more of a narcissistic self absorbed alt-rock indie groupie whore than I had originally thought. I hope you enjoy all the peanut butter sandwhiches that are coming to you.

i am sorry you took this WAY WAY WAY WAY wrong.
this video is about being unabashed in the expression of hurt,
to be unashamed of being tortured inside.
it is bad enough to feel awful all the time but to feel as if you have to hide your negative feelings as well, is an impossible way to live.
i truly hope you can over come the difficulty you have with your body
and i hope you stop being a racist.
and don't throw a fucking sandwich at me. that is dumb.
some other fuck head got on my case for singing about child abuse. you two should be friends.
